ABSOLUTELY! We do not compromise on the safety of our clients or ourselves. All our staff are certified in blood-borne pathogens and infection control procedures. Our equipment is packaged, sterilized in an autoclave, and opened in front of our clients for each appointment. We NEVER reuse needles, instead disposing of them properly.

Each tattoo and piercing has a different cost, particularly tattoos. The price of your tattoo will be based on the size, length of your sitting and whether it is blackwork or colour. You can come in during business hours or e-mail for a free quote anytime! (Be sure to send the approximate dimensions and if its a black or colour piece).

We do not charge for you to have a consult with any of us here, we like for you to get a feel of our artists and see if we/our shop is right for you, with no obligations.
The Exotic Skin Shop currently does not take deposits for tattoos. We work on an honour system that our customers give us a call, or some notice if they can't make their appointment. We understand that life is unexpected or can get busy. (This is subject to change anytime)

After each tattoo, we give you a care speech and a matching sheet of detailed instructions to follow. Care for a fresh tattoo is not difficult if you follow our steps. We provide the ointment we want you to use.
Most importantly, if you think you're having issues with your tattoo, or healing process please call us or visit us right away so we can instruct you on your next steps, and solve your problem.
Everyone heals differently, but by following our specific instructions once you have your tattoo from us, you should be healed in about 5-7 days. However it is not unusual for it to take up to 10 days.

Each piercing and person is different for the time it takes to be completely healed. After a piercing here we give you a care speech and matching sheet on how we would like you to care for your piercing. It is important to follow the specific instructions we give you.
Please NEVER move the jewelry in and out of your skin while it is soapy!
If you think you are having issues with your piercing, call us or visit us as soon as possible so we can help you.
Generally, if you have no problems with your piercing and have taken care of it you should be healed in roughly 6-8 weeks. We advise to continue your cleanings after this point.

Our shop is generally open 6 days, sometimes even 7 days a week. We book tattoo appointments in advance, especially ones that need large or multiple sittings. In rare cases, we may have time for tattoos on the day of, if you were to give us a call. (Usually because someone has canceled). The booking times for tattoos are always changing so please give us a call (519) 742-1020 and we can give you an accurate timeline. Piercings can be squeezed in on most days, just give us a call before you come down so we can make 100% sure we're ready for you.

The Exotic Skin Shop is a clean, professional and open shop, although we do have a private room for those that would like privacy.

Make sure you get a good night of sleep, and eat something before you come in to have some work done. Feel free to bring some water with you. We'll take care of all the rest. Ask us any questions you'd like answered and we'll be happy to help.

Of course you can! We love seeing people in the shop and getting the chance to make new friends. Whether you're nervous or just enjoy extra company we keep an open and friendly environment here. Friends, partners and anyone else are welcome to come to your sitting, but please remember that we have a small building and too many people can make it seem crowded.
